SAWC Calendar: 2007


April

20: On Friday, April 20 at 6 p.m. three writers from the Southern Appalachian Writers Cooperative, Pauletta Hansel, Frankie Finley and Dana Wildsmith, will read at Xavier University’s Family Welcome Center in the Alumni Center (on Woodburn at Dana). This reading is part of a series of events sponsored by XU’s Writing Program showcasing the work of Appalachian Women Writers. The reading will conclude Pauletta Hansel’s day-long visit to Xavier, where she will speak to the Appalachian Women Writers class and other groups on the role that Appalachia has played in her writing. The reading is free and open to the public; a reception follows. The series is made possible by a 2007 Wheeler Award for Curricular Development.
